Today was a dreaded appointment with one of my mother’s oncologists. Thankfully, no new cancer was found on this week’s scans. What she has is small but aggressive, and the numbers do not sound good. Mother’s faith remains strong, and she knows that God will be with her through this process.
My brother and sister and I take strength from each other; Mother takes strength from us; the Source of all our strength is our Heavenly Father.
I enjoyed giving Mother her gift for Mother’s Day—a journal, some bath/body products, and cards that I made (using Distress Inks and patterned card stock) with my favorite passages about God’s Providential Care.
“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry.”
-Psalm 34:15 (NIV)
