Really, really difficult to watch the caloric intake in the autumn. I am so drawn to the kitchen to bake yummy foods, especially breads and cakes and muffins, and especially anything with my favorite fall spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves). Well, and I also love soups in the fall. With bread. Homemade bread.
I’m always willing to try new recipes, even though I have so many “old favorites.” Anything new must be incredible, if it’s going to make my top-picks list. So, this Pumpkin Pound Cake, although quite good, especially second day, and especially with coffee, doesn’t quite measure up to my standard, which is “Barb’s Pumpkin Bars.” So, I won’t share this recipe, simply because it’s not one I would “recommend.” Later this fall, when I make my Pumpkin Bars, I’ll share that recipe!
