My mother loved roses, and she was very good at raising them and caring for them. This year, for my birthday, my son and daughter-in-law gave me a rosebush (and my son even planted it for me)! Its bloom is a true red “Chrysler Imperial.”
In Scripture, this is a favorite verse about a rose:
Isaiah 35:1
"The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose."It is my understanding that this is a prophetic verse about the coming of the Messiah. I like this verse.Recently I completed a watercolor painting of a single rose.
