I am enjoying the permission I have given myself to do some journaling in my Journaling Bible very simply and quickly. The “art” is not as good as when I spend hours on an entry, but at this time, if I wait until I have hours for just this project, it will not happen.
I have had this verse on my mind, with the picture of a coffee mug, for some time. I didn’t prep the page, so just used colored pencils and a Micron pen for the lettering (nothing bled through to the page behind). This page took about 15 minutes, start to finish.
In the morning, I want to hear from God. My scribbly handwriting in the margin here is a paraphrase of the passage:
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life.
– Psalm 143:8 (NIV)

I love that you gave yourself permission to do your Bible Art Journaling simply and quickly. I need to do that in a few areas of my life too and experience the freedom it brings. Nice page.....Linda E.
Thanks, Linda, me, too! I am very task-oriented and place high demands on myself, and when I "give myself permission" to do something rather simply and undisciplined, that's "out of the box" for me, and I need to do it in more areas, as you said!
