Valentine Tag-King and Queen of Hearts

king and queen 4 w border

Still enjoying the Valentine crafting season, I made this tag using some playing cards from my Mary Engelbreit deck (from my DDIL). I started with a black tag and then used papers from the 6x6 My Mind’s Eye Traveler pad, kraft pockets, calendar from Tim Holtz stash, and stamps from Wendy Vecchi (lattice heart and “so in love”) and Dina Wakley (script heart). I covered the cards with the MME patterned 2-sided paper and tucked them inside the kraft pocket. Ribbons are from Really Reasonable Ribbons. All edges were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo and/or Black Soot. The red ink is Tim’s Fired Brick.

  1. Barb, I saw your post on ATT, that is too funny that you had done yours earlier. What a great tag, I'm following you now. Shari (cricutrookie)

  2. Thanks for following, Shari! Yes, I thought it was funny that Tim's tag for Feb uses the Q of Hearts (but he has that wonderful stamp!)...I finished mine last night and then checked his blog first thing this morning and saw the Q of Hearts theme! Funny...
