Me, the not-so-much-about-Halloween person, just created a Halloween tag! Actually, I think my negativity toward this particular holiday originated when I was teaching elementary school and it got so crazy over-the-top out of control—(I’m talking about the parents!). But these days, I’m okay with the “cutesy” things for Halloween, and since the purple-orange color combination became the “thing,” I’m even more interested!
I still do not have a lot of Halloween “stuff” on hand and do not buy the stamps and dies for Halloween, as by this time of the year, I am very “into” Thanksgiving preparations.
However, when I saw Tim’s October tag, I realized I could make it work, with a combination of mainly Tim supplies and a couple of images from my Cricut cartridges (rarely used these days). I like that Tim encourages us to use what we have on hand, and that definitely promotes creativity, and we all know Tim Holtz is all about creativity!
I am posting this tag in the Simon Says Stamp Glimmer and Sparkle Challenge and Anything But a Card Shiny, Sparkly, Blingy Challenge.
Wonderful interpretation of the tag!
Gorgeous background!! I so love the colors--it all makes for an awesome tag!
Great tag! I don't have a lot of Halloween either but love the colors used, so I went with it.
Love it! Great job on the dripping BOO! brackground looks great!
So agree with you about the direction that Halloween has taken, and I love your pretty Halloween tag - great colors! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at the Simon Says Stamp challenge this week!
Fun colors! Makes me think of a Mardi Gras Halloween! lol
I totally understand how you feel! This is the first year I have even enjoyed Halloween really, and I am making scary things...go figure! I hate scary! I love that you made this so quickly. It shows how inspired and enthusiastic you were! And, it's gorgeous! It's whimsical and not creepy...just like Halloween should be (Don't look at my blog today...yikes!) I love it!!!
I really like your colors and the way you did the background. Great embellishments too. I am also not a Halloween person, but I'm trying to become comfortable with the cute aspect - and this is totally cute!
I think it turned out great! I only have one Halloween stamp set so I make do with with what I have too. I'm much more into Thanksgiving and fall in general. =)
Completely fantastic take on the tag! What fabulous colours... and I'm not much of a one for Halloween either - but this is terrific!
I love your tag!! I have been wanting to follow Tim's tag this month as well! Thank you for joining us at Anything But a Card!
